"I found Alison’s thoughtful and unhurried approach during the assessment really reassuring. Her advice, both then and subsequently, has been a significant factor in my returning health."

The Consultation

Before your initial appointment you will be asked to complete a questionnaire which assesses current health objectives, your medical history, diet and lifestyle factors such as stress and exercise. Alison will spend an hour, initially, with you to go through the questionnaire and from this information will work with you to develop an individual nutritional programme.

If necessary, diagnostic tests may be recommended to help assess factors affecting you on a biochemical level. You will be advised on which foods are likely to be beneficial, those that should be avoided, lifestyle factors to consider and which food supplements could help you get back on track; because restoring or improving your health takes more nutrients than maintaining it. All these recommendations will be tailor made to fit in with your lifestyle so you can realistically reach your objectives in terms of improved health and vitality.

You will also be given a Health Improvement Plan and information relevant to your requirements to take with you and read later.

Personal support and follow-up session are offered as part of your programme. In most cases, at least one follow-up will be recommended. As the consultations are educational, there is no need to keep returning once health improvements have been made. Typically many clients need three to four visits over a three to six month period.
